PHD2 (Prolyl Hydroxylase Domain-containing protein 2) belongs to the Prolyl-4-hydroxylase domain (PHD) family of proteins and is encoded by the Egl-9 Family Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1 (EGLN1) gene (1).
