Glypican 1 Proteins and Enzymes

Glypican 1 is a GPI-linked proteoglycan that has a wide distribution throughout the body. Its most striking feature is the presence, or attachment, of heparan sulfate. Through the use of 2-O, 3-O or 6-O sulfation modifications, Glypican 1 is suggested to specifically target and regulate the FGF family of growth factors.
