Neurotensin (NT) is a brain and gastrointestinal peptide that acts on three subtypes of neurotensin receptors: the G-protein-coupled receptors NTS₁ (high affinity) and NTS₂ (low affinity) and the single transmembrane receptor NTS₃ (Sortilin 1).
