RHBDL1 Proteins and Enzymes

RHBDL1, also known as Rhomboid-related protein 1 is a 48kDa 438 amino acid protein with a shorter 41kDa 373 isoform produced by alternative splicing. It is believed to play a role in regulating intramembrane proteolysis. Current research on RHBDL1 is being conducted in relation to leber hereditary optic neuropathy and neuropathy. RHBDL1 is known to interact with ZWINT.
