ZDHHC5 Proteins and Enzymes

ZDHHC5 is a gene that codes for a protein with two isoforms, measuring 715 and 662 amino acids in length, with weights of approximately 78 and 72 kDa respectively. ZDHHC5 functions as a palmitoyl acyltransferase for the G-protein coupled receptor. Current research is being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including malaria. ZDHHC5 has also been shown to have interactions with SSTR5 and UBC.
