Furanone C-30 is a synthetic furanone bacterial quorum sensing inhibitor. Inhibits virulence factor expression in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and increases bacterial susceptibility to antibiotics in vitro. Also inhibits bacterial quorum sensing in vivo and promotes bacterial clearance in a mouse pulmonary infection model.
