WB: Approx. 50 kDa band observed in human lymph node lysates (calculated MW of 50.9 kDa band according to NP_004742.1). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing GCNT3 a band of approx. 55 kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293.

Background: GCNT3

GCNT3 is a glycosyltransferase, belonging to the glycosyltransferase 14 family. It can synthesize all known mucin beta 6 N-acetylglucosaminides and mediates core 2 and core 4 O-glycan branching, two important steps in mucin-type biosynthesis.
