Detection of Human PSG6 by Western Blot. Western blot shows human pregnancy serum, human serum (non-pregnancy), JAR human choriocarcinoma cell line lysates, and human placenta tissue lysates. PVDF membrane was probed with 1:1000 dilution of Rabbit Anti-Human PSG6 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF8598) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF008). Specific bands were detected for PSG6 at approximately 55 and 74 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: PSG6

Pregnancy-specific beta-1-glycoprotein 6 is encoded by the PSG6 gene. High levels of PSG biosynthesis are restricted to the placenta syncytiotrophoblast and are essential for the maintenance of normal gestation in mammalian species.
