What is the MAGPIX System?

The MAGPIX System is an easy-to-use, affordable, and compact multiplexing platform. Based on the proven xMAP® technology, this instrument enables scientists to measure multiple proteins in a single reaction, reducing the cost per data point for testing multiple analytes.

This compact fluorescent-based detection system is capable of measuring up to 50 analytes in a single well of a 96-well plate by immobilizing beads with magnetic force, exciting them using light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and detecting the color coded microshperes and analytes using a CMOS camera—all within 60 minutes. The result is reproducible data you can trust and that can be analyzed using R&D Systems Quantist software. In addition, streamlined startup and shutdown protocols, and minimal maintenance requirements, make the system easy to use for both new and experienced users.
