Mianserin hydrochloride is a non-selective 5-HT₂ receptor antagonist (K_i values are 0.0080 and 0.0081 μM for human 5-HT_2A and 5-HT_2C receptors expressed in HEK293 cells respectively). Has moderate affinity for 5-HT₆. Antidepressant.
