Recombinant Human His6-USP13 Protein, CF
Recombinant Human His6-USP13 Protein, CF Summary
Product Specifications
Reaction conditions will need to be optimized for each specific application. We recommend an initial Recombinant Human USP13 concentration of 100-500 nM when using Ubiquitin-AMC or Ubiquitin-Rh110 substrates (U-550, U-555)
Contains an C-terminal 6-His tag

Carrier Free
CF stands for Carrier Free (CF). We typically add Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a carrier protein to our recombinant proteins. Adding a carrier protein enhances protein stability, increases shelf-life, and allows the recombinant protein to be stored at a more dilute concentration. The carrier free version does not contain BSA.
In general, we advise purchasing the recombinant protein with BSA for use in cell or tissue culture, or as an ELISA standard. In contrast, the carrier free protein is recommended for applications, in which the presence of BSA could interfere.

Background: USP13
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 13 (USP13) is a specialized cysteine protease with a predicted molecular weight of 97 kDa. USP13 is a member of the peptidase C19 family and the human protein shares 96% amino acid sequence identity with its mouse ortholog. Recombinant USP13 has weak deubiquitinase activity against unanchored polyubiquitin chains, but will disassemble tetraubiquitin chains in extended reactions, particularly K63 and K48 linkages. Suggested biological targets of USP13 include PTEN, BECN1, MITF, SKP2 and USP10, and roles for USP13 in melanoma and colorectal cancer have been reported. This recombinant protein contains a C-terminal 6-His tag.
