Immunoprecipitation:RPL3 AntibodyNBP3-30652] -Detection of human Ribosomal Protein L3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-Ribosomal Protein L3 antibody NBP3-30652 (lot NBP3-30652-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. Ribosomal Protein L3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-Ribosomal Protein L3 antibody BL19841. For blotting immunoprecipitated Ribosomal Protein L3, NBP3-30652 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: RPL3

RPL3, also known as 60S ribosomal protein L3, is a 46 kDa 403 amino acid protein found in the cytoplasm. The primary function of RPL3 is believed to contribute to tat-mediated transactivation. Research is currently being conducted on RPL3 in relation to Treacher Collins syndrome, kidney disease, esophageal carcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, esophagitis, colon cancer, prostate cancer, carcinoma, prostatitis and malaria. The gene has been linked to the pathogenesis, innervation, translation, transport and metabolism of mRNA pathways where it interacts with RPS3, RPL4, RPL8, RPL11, and RPL12.
