Stability and Dependability in Cell Manufacturing: The Development of an AI-Modified IL-2 Heat Stable Agonist Protein

To overcome challenges encountered when using cytokines for cell therapy applications, R&D Systems™ has used artificial intelligence (AI)/predictive analytics to engineer an IL-2 Heat Stable Agonist Protein. Designed for thermostability, this protein contains a stabilized synthetic core and enhanced affinity for the IL-2 dimeric βγ receptor. This application note shows the IL-2 Heat Stable Agonist Protein has a higher melting temperature, retains activity in various concentrations at 37˚C and 95˚C, and maintains T cell outgrowth similarly to the standard IL-2 protein. The improved stability and dependability of IL-2 Heat Stable Agonist Protein make it an ideal choice for the manufacture of immune-based therapies.
