Beclin 2 Proteins and Enzymes

Beclin 2, also known as Beclin-1-like-1 is a novel coiled-coil protein related to the autophagic Beclin 1 protein. Beclin 2 is thought to interact with Bcl-2, an anti-apoptotic protein, and is believed to function in autophagy and antiviral host defense.
