Integrin alpha 10 cDNA Clones

Integrin alpha 10 is one of twelve Integrin family adhesion receptors that associate with the beta 1 subunit. This noncovalent heterodimer is expressed mainly on chondrocytes within cartilage, but also in fibrous connective tissues such as heart valves and ligaments. Divalent cations and intracellular (inside‑out) signaling convert it to its most active, extended, and open conformation. a10b1 binds to Collagen types II and IX as well as Laminins. Its expression on melanoma cells correlate with cell migration.
