Nitrotyrosine ELISA Kits
Nitrotyrosine in Human PBMCs. Nitration of free or protein tyrosine residues results from addition of a nitro group to a carbon atom on the tyrosine aromatic ring. The process may proceed by a number of pathways, including the reaction of nitric oxide with superoxide to generate peroxynitrite, which then reacts with CO2 to generate an intermediate that is able to nitrate tyrosine residues. Levels of 3-nitrotyrosine in vivo are correlated with lung injury in premature infants and coronary artery disease, but a causal relationship has not been established.
