BI 605906 is a selective IKKβ inhibitor (IC50 = 380 nM). Displays no effect on a panel of 100 kinases, except at IGF1 (IC50 = 7.6 μM).

    RAW macrophages were incubated with 5 μM BI 605906 for 30 min prior to addition of 200 ng/ml LPS for 8 h to follow TNFa mRNA expression. LPS elevated TNFa mRNA levels that was significantly inhibited by pretreatment of cells with BI 605906.
