Western Blot: Calsenilin Antibody [NBP2-26111] - HEK293 lysate (10ug protein in RIPA buffer) overexpressing Human KCNIP3 with C-terminal MYC tag probed with EB10525 (1ug/ml) in Lane A and probed with anti-MYC Tag (1/1000) in lane C. Mock-transfected HEK293 probed with EB10525 (1mg/ml) in Lane B. Primary incubations were for 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

WB: In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing human KCNIP3 a band of approx. 30 kDa band was observed. No bands are observed in the non-transfected HEK293. The calculated molecular size is 29.2 kDa band according to NP_038462.1.

Background: Calsenilin

The human prodynorphin gene, which is involved in memory acquisition and pain, is regulated by its downstream regulatory element (DRE). The DRE acts as a location-dependent gene silencer. DREAM is a transcriptional repressor, DRE-antagonist modulator. It is the first known Ca2+ binding protein that binds to DNA and regulates transcription.
