Detection of Human Cerberus 1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human liver tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human Cerberus 1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1075) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). A specific band was detected for Cerberus 1 at approximately 39 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background: Cerberus 1
Cerberus 1 functions during development by binding to and antagonizing some members of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family. Cerberus 1 is alternatively known as cerberus-related 1 and is a homolog of Xenopus cerberus.
