Background: RECK

RECK is a GPI-anchored membrane protein that is highly expressed in most of the human tissues and untransformed cells, but is undetectable in tumor cells. RECK can negatively regulate MMP-9, MMP-2 and MTI-MMP activity and inhibit tumor angiogenesis and metastasis.
