Product Specifications

Immunogen

The original antibody was isolated from an anti-NoV GII.4c IgG serum antibody repertoire generated from three donors that experienced a significant increase in GII.4 titer after immunization with the bivalent GII.4c + GI.1 VLP vaccine. (Uniprot# Q83883)

Specificity

This antibody shows broadly binding but no blocking activity toward multiple GI and GII strains such as GI.I, GII.2, and GII.17. This antibody recognizes a highly conserved epitope located at an occluded site on the norovirus capsid, at the interface between the P domain and shell domain of the Norovirus, which explain its high level of cross-reactivity. Norovirus (NoVs) is one of the main pathogens causing sporadic cases and large outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis, and norovirus can infect people of all ages.

Description

This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

ELISA: Norovirus VP1 Antibody (A1227) - Chimeric - BSA Free [NBP3-43558] - Binding curves of Norovirus VP1 (red) and an isotype control (anti-fluorescein; orange) on an ELISA plate coated with Norovirus VP1 at 2.5 µg/mL. A 3-fold serial dilution from 3,000 ng/mL to 0.0169 ng/mL was assessed. Detection was performed with an HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Fc-fragment specific, minimum cross-reactivity to human serum proteins) at 0.25 µg/mL.
