Western Blot: PITX1 Antibody [NB100-1546] - Detection of Human PITX by Western Blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa and 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PITX antibody NB100-1546 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.
PITX1 Antibody [NB100-1546] - Detection of human PITX by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PITX antibody NB100-1546 (lot NB100-1546-2) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. PITX was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody NB100-1546-1. For blotting immunoprecipitated PITX, A300-577A was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background: PITX1

PITX1 is a homeobox-containing transcription factor involved in the development of many organs. PITX1 has been demonstrated to play a critical role in pituitary organogenesis and can stimulate transcription from most pituitary hormone promoters. PITX1 has also been shown to stimulate the leutinizing hormone (LH)-beta gene promoter and may serve an important role in reproductive gene expression. Alternate names for PITX1 include pituitary homeobox 1, hindlimb-expressed homeobox protein backfoot, BFT, PTX1, and POTX.
