Simple Plex Discovery Human SPARC Cartridge Summary

Simple Plex Discovery assay is for the detection of human Secreted Protein, Acidic and Rich in Cysteine (SPARC) in cell culture supernatant (CCS), serum, plasma, platelet-poor plasma (EDTA/Heparin), and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples using Sample Diluent SD13.

*The Sample Volume represented is based on the amount of sample incorporated into the reaction after taking into account the assay's minimum required dilution for a given matrix. Serial dilution may be necessary to achieve some of the final sample volumes represented.

Recovery for Simple Plex Discovery Human SPARC Cartridge

Recovery for the human SPARC assays was evaluated at three different spiked concentrations of SPARC protein.

Sample Type Average % Recovery Range %
Cell Culture Media (n=2) 102 99-105

Linearity

Samples containing and/or spiked with high concentrations of SPARC were serially diluted with Sample Diluent to produce samples within the dynamic range of the assay.

Background: SPARC

SPARC, also known as Osteonectin and Basement Membrane protein BM-40, is a phosphorylated glycoprotein with calcium-binding domains. It is secreted by endothelial cells and is present in large amounts in the parietal endoderm of mouse embryos and in human placenta. SPARC may be involved in cell proliferation, repair of tissue damage, and morphogenic processes such as re-modeling of the extracellular matrix.
