TAF1C Antibody [NBP2-12779] - Detection of human TAF1C by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), HEK293T (T; 50 ug) and Jurkat (J; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TAF1C antibody NBP2-12779 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 ug/mg lysate. TAF1C was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TAF1C antibody NBP2-12778, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 30 seconds (A and B).

Background: TAF1C

Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I requires the formation of a complex composed of the TATA-bindingprotein (TBP) and three TBP-associated factors (TAFs) specific for RNA polymerase I. This complex, known as SL1, bindsto the core promoter of ribosomal RNA genes to position the polymerase properly and acts as a channel for regulatorysignals. This gene encodes the largest SL1-specific TAF. Two transcripts encoding different isoforms have beenidentified. (provided by RefSeq)
