Protocols

Refer to the product for complete assay procedure.

Bring all reagents and samples to room temperature before use. It is recommended that all samples, standards, and controls be assayed in duplicate.
  1.   Prepare all reagents, TBARS standard, and samples as directed in the product insert.
  2.   Remove excess microplate strips from the plate frame, return them to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack, and reseal.
    3. 150 µL Standards and Samples
  3.   Add 150 µL of standards and samples to each well.
    4. 75 µL TBA Reagent
  4.   Add 75 µL of TBA Reagent to each well.
  5.   Pre-read the optical density of each well using a microplate reader set to 532 nm.
  6.   Incubate the microplate for 2-3 hours at 45-50 °C.
  7.   Read the optical density of each well using a microplate reader set to 532 nm. Subtract the pre-reading from the final reading to correct for the sample's contributions to the final absorption at 532 nm.
