Scientific Data Images for ACSL5 Antibody (A9D4-R)
Immunohistochemistry: ACSL5 Antibody (A9D4-R) [NBP3-31995]
Immunohistochemistry: ACSL5 Antibody (A9D4-R) [NBP3-31995] - Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse liver tissue with Mouse anti-ACSL5 antibody (NBP3-31995) at 1/1,000 dilution.The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. The tissues were blocked in 1% BSA for 20 minutes at room temperature, washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the primary antibody (NBP3-31995) at 1/1,000 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. The detection was performed using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Western Blot: ACSL5 Antibody (A9D4-R) [NBP3-31995]
Western Blot: ACSL5 Antibody (A9D4-R) [NBP3-31995] - Western blot analysis of ACSL5 on different lysates with Mouse anti-ACSL5 antibody (NBP3-31995) at 1/1,000 dilution.Lane 1: Mouse liver tissue lysate
Lane 2: Rat liver tissue lysate
Lysates/proteins at 30 ug/Lane.
Predicted band size: 76 kDa
Observed band size: 70 kDa
Exposure time: 3 minutes;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (NBP3-31995) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:100,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background: ACSL5
This isozyme is highly expressed in uterus and spleen, and in trace amounts are found in normal brain. It also has significantly increased expression in malignant gliomas, where the protein functions in mediating fatty acid-induced glioma cell growth. Therefore, ALCS5 is thought to have a key role in the survival of glioma cells and may be a potential target for novel cancer treatments. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Alternate Names
