Immunoprecipitation:ACTR2 AntibodyNBP3-29809] -Detection of human ACTR2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ACTR2 antibody NBP3-29809 (lot NBP3-29809-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. ACTR2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ACTR2.. For blotting immunoprecipitated ACTR2, NBP3-29809 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: ACTR2

The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, the protein it encodes is known to be a major constituent of the ARP2/3 complex. This complex is located at the cell surface and is essential to cell shape and motility through lamellipodial actin assembly and protrusion. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
