Immunoprecipitation:AGPAT7 AntibodyNBP3-29949] -Detection of human LPCAT4 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-LPCAT4 antibody (NBP3-29949 lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. LPCAT4 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-LPCAT4 antibody for blotting immunoprecipitated LPCAT4, NBP3-29949 was used at 0.4 mg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background: AGPAT7

Members of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase (EC 2.3.1.51) family, such as AGPAT7, catalyze the conversion of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) to phosphatidic acid (PA), a precursor in the biosynthesis of all glycerolipids. Both LPA and PA are involved in signal transduction (Ye et al., 2005 [PubMed 16243729]).[supplied by OMIM]
