Background: AKR1B1

Aldose reductase (AKR1B1) is a member of the aldo-keto reductase (AKR) superfamily and catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of a wide variety of carbonyl-containing compounds to their corresponding alcohols. This protein is implicated in the development of diabetic complications by catalyzing the reduction of glucose to sorbitol. Recombinant Aldose reductase (AKR1B) protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

FAQs for Recombinant Human AKR1B1 Protein

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q:

The customer wanted a His-tagged AKR1B1 protein and he found NBC1-22925 at Biocompare. He confirmed that this included His-tag in the following page: http://www.biocompare.com/ProductDetails/1723741/Human-Aldose-reductase--His-Conjugated-Tagged.html But he noticed that there was no mention of His-tag on the insert. Could you let us know if this includes His-tag or not?

A: NBC1-22925 does not contain a His-Tag. I have also searched our product line for another His-Tagged AKR1B1, however we do not have any available at this time.
