BC 11-38 is a selective phosphodiesterase (PDE) 11 inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 0.28 μM for PDE11; IC₅₀ values are >100 μM for PDE1 - PDE10). Significantly elevates cAMP levels and cortisol production in H295R human adenocarcinoma cells.
