The BrdU labeled MCF7 cells can be used as control for immunohistochemical or immunocytochemical staining procedures. Optimal concentrations of antibodies applied to these cell preparations should be evaluated by serial dilutions. About 50% of the cells are labeled with BrdU and therefore the slides provide both a positive and negative control..
