Immunogen

Hybridoma clone has been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with recombinant C-peptide construction.

Epitope

The three-dimensional structure generated by N- and C- terminal regions of C-peptide separated by beta-turn at position 47-50 of proinsulin.

Cross-reacts with Human. Does not react with Bovine, Mouse, Rat or Pig

Affinity (Kd) > 1 x 10^8. Binds to the human free C-peptide and C-peptide region in proinsulin molecules. No cross-reactivity with human, bovine, porcine and mouse/rat insulin.
