Product Description

Key information: Cy7ADA is a near-infrared fluorescent D-amino acid (FDAA) probe suitable for bacterial imaging applications, consisting of a Cyanine 7 fluorophore bearing the unnatural amino acid D-Alanine. Incorporation of fluorescent D-amino acids in gram negative and positive bacteria can selectively label bacterial membranes, resulting in bright fluorescence around the bacteria and minimal or no signal detected inside.

Used for: in situ labelling and imaging of bacteria in vitro and selective staining of Staphylococcus aureusin mice.

Application: confocal microscopy, intravital confocal fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry.

Properties and Photophysical Data: Excitation and emission maxima (λ) are 756 nm and 779 nm, respectively.
