Stability & Storage Lyophilized samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20° C to -70° C. Upon reconstitution, the substrate can be stored at 2° - 8° C for one month or at -20° to -70° C in a manual defrost freezer for three months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Protect from exposure to direct light.

Background: Phosphatase Peptide Substrates

This phosphopeptide is a substrate for a variety of serine/threonine protein phosphatases (PPs), including PP1, PP2A, PP2B (calcineurin) and PP2C. Enzymatic cleavage of this substrate liberates inorganic phosphate, which can be measured in dye binding assays, such as the malachite green method.
