Edaglitazone is a potent and selective PPARγ agonist (EC₅₀ values are 35.6 and 1053 nM for PPARγ and PPARα cofactor recruitment respectively. Enhances insulin sensitivity in obese, but not lean, rats. Antidiabetic and orally bioavailable.
