The DNA damage response activates cell cycle checkpoints to allow time for DNA repair and ensure the fidelity of each cell cycle. One group of proteins that transduce the DNA damage signal is the Rad family. The hRad17 protein is phosphorylated at S635 in cells exposed to multiple types of genotoxic stress, including ionizing radiation (IR) and ultraviolet light (UV).

Scientific Data Images for Human Phospho-Rad17 (S635) Antibody
Detection of Human Phospho-Rad17 (S635) by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line mock treated or exposed to 10 Gy IR or 100 J/m2UV-C for 1 hour. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL Rabbit Anti-Human Phospho-Rad17 (S635) Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1374) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF008). A specific band for Phospho-Rad17 (S635) was detected at approximately 92 kDa (as indicated). The phospho-specificity of this antibody was supported by decreased labeling following treatment with 600 U lambda-phosphatase (lambda-PPase) for 30 minutes time. This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human Phospho-Rad17 (S635) Antibody
