Hydroxystilbamidine bis(methanesulfonate) is a fluorescent cationic dye commonly used as a neuronal tracer; exhibits retrograde axonal transport. Displays different fluorescence emission wavelengths when bound to DNA compared to RNA. Visualize with an ultraviolet excitation filter. Gold color is emitted when tissue is processed with a neutral pH buffer while blue/bright white is emitted when an acidic pH buffer is used.Spectra Viewer
