Chemical Name: 4-[2-[4-(Aminoiminomethyl)phenyl]ethenyl]-3-hydroxybenzenecarboximidamide bis(methanesulfonate)
Biological ActivityFluorescent cationic dye commonly used as a neuronal tracer. Exhibits retrograde axonal transport. Visualize with an ultraviolet excitation filter. Gold color is emitted when tissue is processed with a neutral pH buffer while blue/bright white is emitted when an acidic pH buffer is used.
