Immunoprecipitation:IFIT3 AntibodyNBP3-29904] -Detection of human IFIT3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-IFIT3 antibody NBP3-29904 (lot NBP3-29904-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. IFIT3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-IFIT3.. For blotting immunoprecipitated IFIT3, NBP3-29904 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: IFIT3

IFIT3, also known as IFIT4, IFI60, and RIGG, has been identified as a key element in the IFN-alpha anti-viral pathway. Additionally, IFIT3 binding negatively regulates the apoptotic effects of ISG54. IFIT3 is also a key target of STAT1, which is important in regulating IFN responses. One study has shown that expression of RIGG in a human monocytoma line led to growth arrest at the G1/S transition.
