Expression in tumor cells may reduce the anchorage-independent growth ability, leading to the marked loss of tumorigenicity. discovered the implication of insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-related protein 1 in endometrial physiology, which seems related to endometrial receptivity. data suggest that mac25/IGFBP-rP1 and 25.1 may play a functional role in the NE differentiation of NSCLC cell lines and may provide a novel therapeutic target for treating lung cancers, in particular NSCLC with NE differentiation. findings show for the first time that circulating IGF-binding protein (IGFBP)-related protein 1 (IGFBP-rP1) is increased with insulin resistance. that IGFBP-rP1 is an inhibitor of MCF-7 breast cancer cell proliferation and may act via a cellular senescence-like mechanism.
