Biological ActivityHuman pregnane X receptor (hPXR) agonist; stronger activator of hPXR than rat PXR. Increases hPXR target gene expression in human hepatocyte primary cultures. Also acts as a histamine H1 receptor antagonist. Confers neuroprotection in models of polyQ toxicity.
