Species: HumanAssay Type: In VitroVerified Customer | Posted 10/11/2022This product is an excellent choice for in vitro interaction studies with melatonin receptors. Given that its the endogenous ligand of these receptors, it offers an important point of comparison when testing ligands with unknown activity profiles. In our lab, we typically use this product in micromolar concentrations in all buffers when handling melatonin receptors, unless a more highly stabilizing or potent ligand (such as 2-phenylmelatonin or ramelteon) is needed. These ligands can be more expensive, making melatonin preferable in some cases. We found this product consistently of the highest quality. Highly recommended
