ML 418 is a K_ir7.1 inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 0.31 μM). Also inhibits K_ir6.2 with similar potency. Displays >17-fold selectivity for K_ir7.1 over K_ir1.1, K_ir2.1, K_ir2.2, K_ir2.3, K_ir3.1/3.2 and K_ir4.1. Active in vivo.
