Pramipexole dihydrochloride is a dopamine receptor agonist exhibiting selectivity for the D₃ receptor (K_i values are 0.5, 3.3, 3.9 and 3.9 nM for D₃, D_2S, D_2L and D₄ receptors respectively). Exhibits negligible affinity for D₁ and D₅ receptors. Displays activity in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
