Immunoprecipitation:Prolyl Oligopeptidase/PREP AntibodyNBP3-30347] -Detection of human PREP by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PREP antibody NBP3-30347 (lot NBP3-30347-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PREP was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PREP antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated PREP, NBP3-30347 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Background: Prolyl Oligopeptidase/PREP

The protein encoded by the Prolyl Endopeptidase gene is a cytosolic prolyl endopeptidase that cleaves peptide bonds on the C-terminal side of prolyl residues within peptides that are up to approximately 30 amino acids long. Prolyl endopeptidases have been reported to be involved in the maturation and degradation of peptide hormones and neuropeptides. (provided by RefSeq)
