Product Specifications
Contains an N-terminal 6-His tag
Product Datasheets
Carrier Free
CF stands for Carrier Free (CF). We typically add Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a carrier protein to our recombinant proteins. Adding a carrier protein enhances protein stability, increases shelf-life, and allows the recombinant protein to be stored at a more dilute concentration. The carrier free version does not contain BSA.
In general, we advise purchasing the recombinant protein with BSA for use in cell or tissue culture, or as an ELISA standard. In contrast, the carrier free protein is recommended for applications, in which the presence of BSA could interfere.

Background: UBE2D4/Ubch5d
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2D 4 (UBE2D4), also known as Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme H5d (Ubch5d), is a member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating (E2) enzyme family. Human UBE2D4/Ubch5d is 147 amino acids in length and has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 16.5 kDa. It may function with the IDOL Ubiquitin ligase (E3) to ubiquitinate LDL R (1). UBE2D4/Ubch5d, along with other UBE2D family members, may also be involved in the degradation of p53 (2). Cadmium exposure has been reported to reduce the mRNA expression level of UBE2D4/Ubch5d (2). This protein contains an N-terminal 6-His tag.
