Product Description
This compound (the active product of the prodrug SIN-10, molsidomine) acts as a vasodilator and inhibitor of platelet aggregation; longer acting than nitroprusside or nitroglycerin. Decreases myocardial necrosis and reperfusion-induced endothelial dysfunction in models of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion.

Species: ChemicalAssay Type: In VitroVerified Customer | Posted 10/15/2018Effects of SIN-1 (20 μM in pH 7.4, kept at 37 °C for 2 h) on the MPO (10 nM)-H2O2 (25 μM)-chloride system were analyzed by APF fluorescence measurements. Fluorescence intensities were measured every 30 s (up to 30 min) at 488/522 nm (excitation/emission wavelength) at 37 °C. SIN-1 inhibits the chlorinating capacity of MPO.
