Immunoprecipitation:VBP1 AntibodyNBP3-30158] -Detection of human VBP1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-VBP1 antibody NBP3-30158 (lot NBP3-30158-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. For blotting immunoprecipitated VBP1, NBP3-30158 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: VBP1

VBP1 is encoded by this gene interacts with the Von Hippel-Lindau protein to form an intracellular complex. Because it functions as a chaperone protein, it is suspected that it may play a role in the transport of the Von Hippel-Lindau protein from the perinuclear granules to the nucleus or cytoplasm.
