VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer - Cleaner, Faster IHC Results
VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer is a Biotin-free detection reagent that overcomes problems associated with Avidin-Biotin detection chemistry, such as the extra quenching steps required to inhibit endogenous Biotin and Avidin staining. R&D Systems offers secondary antibodies that are conjugated to the VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer and complete staining kits that contain VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer-conjugated secondary antibodies, the DAB chromogen, buffers, and blocking reagent.
VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Benefits
- Improved Chromogenic IHC Staining
- More Sensitive (Use 2–3 Times Less Primary Antibody)
- Reduced Background
- Faster (Less Blocking Steps/Incubations)
- Prediluted, Ready-to-Use
- Compatible with Most Fixation Methods

GIT1 Detection in Human Brain Using the VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer. GIT1 was detected in immersion-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of human brain (cerebral cortex) using a Rabbit Anti-Human GIT1 Antigen Affinity-Purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog #AF8508), followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Secondary Antibody (Catalog #VC003). The tissue was stained with DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).
GIT1 Detection in Human Brain Using the ABC Method. GIT1 was detected in immersion-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of human brain (cerebral cortex) using a Rabbit Anti-Human GIT1 Antigen Affinity-Purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog #AF8508), followed by a Biotin-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibody. The tissue was stained using the ABC Method (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).
Secondary Antibody Control for the VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer. Immersion-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections of human brain (cerebral cortex) were incubated with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Secondary Antibody (Catalog # VC003), followed by DAB. The tissue was counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). The Rabbit Anti-Human GIT1 Antigen Affinity-Purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF8508) was omitted from the staining procedure.
