OR1F1 Proteins and Enzymes

OR1F1, also known as Olfactory receptor 1F1, is a 34.9 kDa, 312 amino acid protein that is involved in receiving signals from odor molecules and triggering a neuronal response that will initiate the perception of smell. Diseases such as neuronitis and familial Mediterranean fever are currently being researched with this protein. The protein interacts with GNAL, GNGT1, OR2C1, OR10A3, and OR52E6 proteins in olfactory and GPCR signaling pathways.
