Protocadherin-18 Proteins and Enzymes

PCDH18 belongs to the protocadherin family, a subfamily of the cadherins. PCDH18 has 6 extracellular cadherin domains, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic tail differing from classical cadherins. It is thought to play a role in the establishment and function of specific cell-cell connections in the brain.
